Verba (Words of Institution)

The lyrics of the Verba (Words of Institution) come from the words spoken by Jesus during the Last Supper as He consecrated the bread and wine. Christ tells us to take and eat His body and to drink His blood for the forgiveness of sins. The Verba is used as part of the Liturgy during the sacrament of Holy Communion.
