        Brian Davison - vocals

Brian Davison was a Staff Minister at St. Marcus in Milwaukee until June of 2009, when Koine became a full-time ministry of its own. Brian graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee back in 2000, and also received certification of Staff Ministry from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota in 2003.

Brian grew up in a musically talented family in Markesan, WI., learning under the guidance of his father's band, and performing often with his sisters. When not singing or playing guitar, Brian was involved in athletics during high school and college. Yet music has always been a passion, and he feels blessed to have an opportunity to sing with such talented musicians in Koiné. Brian married wife Stacey in June of 2006, and they had their first child, Oliver, in March of 2008. They live on the north side of downtown Milwaukee.

        Benj Lawrenz - guitar

Benj Lawrenz is a member at St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, where he and his wife, Maureen, and their three children, Atticus, Jude and Jasper reside. A self-taught carpenter, Benj loves a challenge, and recently refurbished his entire early 19th century home on Milwaukee's near north side. He works as a custom woodworker, but his passion resides in music and ministry.   A graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, Lawrenz studied to be a minister. Yet his love for music and desire to share God's message of love with others brought him to Koiné. Benj looks forward to taking Koiné's music across the country, and sharing, in his opinion, some of the best songs ever made.

        Pete Reese - bass

A graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, Reese has lived in the Milwaukee area for most of his life.   He's a gifted musician, and is passionate about sharing His Savior's message with others through music.  Now married to Andyrose, Pete has taken residency in MN while his wife attends pharmacy school.  While he will no longer be on the road with Koine, Pete will continue to assist Koine with musical arrangements and recording.

        Seth Bauer - piano

A gifted pianist, Seth grew up in Colorado and then in the Kettle Moraine area, where he honed his skills playing contemporary piano. He has recorded two solo albums, and enjoys the camaraderie that the other members of Koiné bring to the table. Seth and his wife, Colleen, reside in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  Bauer is a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, and is an avid golfer when not performing.

        Seth Kock - drums

Seth graduated from Martin Luther College in the spring of 2005. From there he spent four years at St. Paul's Lutheran School in East Troy, WI. While at St. Paul's he served as 3rd and 4th grade teacher, Athletic Director, and coach for a variety of team sports.

Seth brings a diversity of musical tastes to the group supplying the necessary push that Koine likes in is Hymns.  While not an organ, his unique approach allows Koine to "pull out all the stops" percussion style, for the appropriate verses our hymns.

        Tracy Fedke - vocals

Tracy Fedke, the female back-up vocalist for Koine, lives in Milwaukee, WI with her husband Micah and daughter Autumn. Tracy has had the opportunity to teach high school vocal music, be an educational assistant at St. Marcus, and sing with Koine. She is now a full time mom and also enjoys singing with Koine. She has recorded three albums with Deo and has recently put out a solo album. Tracy enjoys being a part of the music ministry of Koine and sharing God's Word with so many people.         Matt Scott- Bass

Growing up in Libertyville, IL, Matt Scott cut his musical teeth playing alt-rock in and around the Chicago music scene. While studying film\video at UW Milwaukee, he met his wife Brooke. Through her support and encouragement, Matt became a member of St. Marcus which eventually led to his becoming a member of Koine. When not playing with the band, Matt works as a Television Producer on The Morning Blend in Milwaukee.
